Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) is organising the 19th Malaysian International Chemistry Congress (19MICC) from 30 October to 2 November 2018 at the Bayview Hotel Langkawi Kedah, Malaysia.
The Malaysian International Chemistry Congress, or MICC, is the flagship biennial scientific meeting of IKM where the academia, researchers, educators and other professionals in chemistry from Malaysia and across the world present their research findings, technology innovation and latest developments in chemical sciences. The First MICC was held in 1986 and ever since, the Congress has become the major chemical event in Malaysia and this part of the world.
19MICC contributes towards promoting the scientific advancements and encouraging new ideas for chemical research & development. With a theme of ‘Chemistry for Fourth Industrial Revolution and Beyond’, the 19MICC features four days of scientific and technical sessions, plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations, as well as exceptional networking opportunities and a unique social programme. The Congress will encompass keynote addresses, oral and poster sessions presentations. The major focus will be on chemical research and development for the fourth industrial revolution and better quality of life. The Congress aims to foster and conduct collaborative interdisciplinary research in state-of-the-art methodologies and technologies within chemical sciences.
19MICC will cover the following seven major areas in chemistry:
- Inorganic and Bioinorganic Chemistry (IABC)
- Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry (OABC)
- Physical and Computational Chemistry (PACC)
- Analytical Chemistry and Laboratory Management (ACLM)
- Environmental and Green Chemistry (EAGC)
- Materials and Polymer Chemistry (MAPC)
- Natural Products and Medicinal Chemistry (NPMC)
